In a recent interview with the band's fansite, Wolf Parade drummer Arlen Thompson reported that the band is in the midst of writing new tunes for their third album, with a completion date eyed for early this spring, and a release date later in 2010.

The record is going well. We’re just starting songwriting. We’ll be in the studio tracking at Hotel2Tango at the end of February and are trying to have the record finished by early spring.

If they are able to get that record out next year, it'll complete my indie rockers releasing albums in 2010 bingo card. Because, seriously, there are so many bands with albums coming out next year. Probably even your band. [You Ain't No Picasso]
