Wiz Khalifa Sued For $2 Million Over “Black & Yellow”

Another day, another big-time rapper being sued by an unknown songwriter. This time it’s Wiz Khalifa and production team Stargate. They’re being sued over their smash single “Black & Yellow” by a guy named Max Gregory Warren, of Pennsylvania. He claims that he wrote a similar song called “Pink & Yellow” back in 2008 and that Khalifa and Stargate, per the lawsuit, “engaged in a scheme to defraud plaintiff out of the fruits of his copyright of the subject song.” Warren is looking to receive a shitload of money in damages — $2.4 million — and also named EMI Music Publishing, Rostrum Records, Atlantic Records and Warner Music Group in the suit.
