Just in time for the requisite holiday traffic jam, Autopia has announced its top 10 songs about the automobile. The obvious, but admittedly wonderful Prince tune, "Little Red Corvette" tops the list, making this writer more than a little nostalgic for a time when Prince was not a Prop 8 supporting Jehovah's Witness, but rather a sex-crazy androgynous hit-maker of the first order. But I digress.  

There are also some more surprising entries, including "Daddy's Cup" by the Drive-By Truckers. Perhaps most random of all, Sir Mix-A-Lot gets a shout out for his catchy, but oft-overlooked tune, "My Hooptie."

And no, Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car" did not make the list.
