Wire, one of the better first wave punk bands turned post-punk, has been quick adapters to the zeitgeist of new media, with a brilliant website, a YouTube channel, and clever online marketing campaign. The band that should have been the British Talking Heads has come out with a free to download track that sounds straight off of Speaking in Tongues, but unfortunately lacks enough of Colin Newman's trademark faux-Cockney  snarl to make this a truly great Wire track. Still, even a bad Wire track is better than that of most New Wave wannabes, and there's enough creativity here to make their first non-Read & Burn album since 2003's Send look intriguing.
