Winehouse's Father Hands Out Her Clothing To Fans

Fans keeping a vigil outside of Amy Winehouse's Camden home got a big surprise when the singer's father, Mitch Winehouse, came out to distribute some articles of her clothing. He told the assembled fans that, "These are Amy's t-shirts. This is what she would have wanted, for her fans to have her clothes." Mr. Winehouse was later joined by Amy's boyfriend Reg Traviss in handing out the singers possessions. Though the current Internet rumor is that Winehouse died as a result of alcohol withdrawl, there still has not been an official report released on her cause of death. [Rolling Stone]

Not sure why this was prefaced with an "Uh." in your tweet - I think this is a beautiful gesture. Courtney Love did the same with some of Kurt's clothes after his death. It helps both grieving family members and fans - what else are you going to do with the clothes? This sends little pieces of her life out into the hands of many who love her and will remember her, it must be more comforting for her father than just throwing them out or keeping them in the house.
