Win Butler vows not to go solo

Looks like ego is not a problem in the Arcade Fire camp. According to a recent interview the songwriter and front man gave to Uncut Magazine, Butler says that he's "never been interested in being a solo artist. In high school, there was no point where the idea of not having a band play with me, or that whole thing, never appealed to me in the slightest."

Butler also states that the music he and his band mates make as a collaborative effort is significantly better than what he could muster out on his lonesome. For anyone that's seen or heard the Montreal collective live, you know he's not lying. No one needs to tell you that they possess some sonic might -- you've heard, you've seen, you know.

I still wouldn't be surprised if, by 2020, his definition of a "band" was Win Butler and a bunch of dudes and ladies.
