Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler has been talking about the band’s recently released film, which sheds light on the activities undertaken to promote the Neon Bible album. Miroir Noir was shot by French director Vincent Moon, who runs the innovative Blogotheque website, and directed by Vincent Morisset. Speaking of their collaboration, Butler says: “It was interesting having Vincent [Morisset] on tour with us - [it was] just two guys with a camera. I'm happy with how it turned out." The film takes a look at the making of the Neon Bible, and also follows the band as they hit the road. “It gives a little window into the band," Butler says. "We wanted to do something that gave some idea of what the band is like live, and it seemed like having 50 cameras set up wasn't necessarily the best way to do that.
Arcade Fire fans who are patiently awaiting new material from the band are in luck, as Butler says they are “in the middle of writing, and things are coming together. It's a great feeling." The Miroir Noir film can be previewed and purchased in a number of different formats on this dedicated website. [NME]
