The inimitable WFMU is staging an online auction to help raise some cash for the station, which started yesterday (Oct. 5) and will stretch on until Oct. 12. A statement on the WFMU website reads: “We're offering up tons of amazing goodies, from modestly-priced records, CDs, and comics, to coveted music ephemera and outlandish experiences that tickle the imagination.”
Among the best items on offer are:
A chance to sit in on a cast read-through for a Simpsons episode in Los Angeles (bid here)
Tickets for a sold-out show by Guided By Voices in New York (bid here)
But that’s not all. Head over to this E-Bay page to witness the pages and pages of auctions WFMU has put up for grabs to help aid their broadcasts, which include Urinals setlists, Robert Crumb comics, Captain Beefheart posters, and—best of all—a Butthole Surfers promotional toilet roll (bid on that here).
