Nickelback totally cleaned up at Canada's Much Music Awards last night, but the bigger news than a bunch of sleaze rockers winning awards for failing to the top is that Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas (speaking of failing to the top) has been accused of hitting Perez Hilton after Perez refused to take it easy on Fergie and said he didn't respect the Black Eyed Peas.

Perez took to his Twitter instead of calling the police following the incident, so this thing kind of seemed like a promotional moment for Perez and will.i.am. That was until will took to his vlog to say that Perez was mouthing off at the after party, and while he did see Perez Hilton get beat up, it wasn't him who did the punching, it was a fan. He says Perez was way overboard in making fun of Fergie and the group, and that's what led to the altercation. Will does launch one allegation that Perez may have to explain, claiming that the alleged gay rights advocate called him a "faggot."

For his part, Perez took to his blog to post a long, Chris Crocker-like diatribe about how he doesn't need publicity and how Will.I.Am is basically Hitler re-incarnate. He then takes apart will's vlog post, and says will and his posse assaulted him.

I'm not sure who to believe, but I wouldn't mind either of them taking an elbow to the face, Macho Man-style. Perez seems pretty worked up about it, but then again, he could be blowing this way out of proportion (and probably is).  [via Idolator]
