Moniker-collector and widely admired alt-country singer-songwriter Will Oldham will soon add another bullet point to his diverse resume: stand-up comedian. Oldham will perform later this month at a show being put on by Drag City Records at the Weeds Club in Chicago, sharing a stage with Windy City comedian Kumail Nanjiani. Drag City's Rian Murphy had this to say, "He [Oldham] has a very expansive vision and there's no telling what he might consider funny."
Though this comedic turn may at first seem surprising, Oldham has done this kind of thing before. Proof comes in the form of this clip from not-for-kids "kids show" Wonder Showzen, where he semi holds his own playing opposite Zach Galifianakis and David Cross:
