Because all the world really needs is yet another indie record label, employees of Rough Trade and Make Mine have announced the launch of Warmest Chord. Their first release will be a brand-new EP by the seemingly unstoppable Wild Nothing, whose debut album came out all of one month ago. ‘Your Rabbit Feet,’ the EP’s lead-off track, is more straight-up sad-white-boy-guitar-music than anything on the electronica-leaning LP, which, for a certain breed of music listener, is heartening. Virginia native Jack Tatum, perhaps in tribute to the new label’s British origins, affects his best British accent for the track. Listen to it here. [Pitchfork]
