Wilco Streams Opening Night Of “Incredible Shrinking Tour Of Chicago”

This December the ever-evolving post-folk rockers embarked on the “Incredible Shrinking Tour of Chicago” that included playing five different Chicago venues in five consecutive evenings. The first of these shows took place at the Civic Opera House on Dec. 12 and included a lengthy 27-song set spanning the band’s career and then some. The show also featured collaborations with UK crooner Nick Lowe on his 1979 classic “Cruel to Be Kind” and gospel R&B singer Mavis Staples on “You Are Not Alone.” The two guest stars additionally joined Wilco for a finale cover of “The Weight,” originally by The Band.

The entire live set is currently available for streaming on their website. Catch it before it disappears into the nether-web world.
