Wilco, Possibly Because They Love You, Launches Free iPhone/iPod Application

Let it not be said that Jeff Tweedy and company are anything less than savvy about technology. After streaming their new album and dominating Twitter last week, Wilco has launched its own iPhone/iPod application. The free application, which can be downloaded at the iTunes store (And where else would you look, really?), allows fans to keep up with tour dates, check out photos, and stream songs and videos. The Wilco application follows a very similar one released by Nine Inch Nails, but without any of the controversy surrounding a few of Trent Reznor's more saucy lyrics. Perhaps Mr. Reznor should buy himself a jean jacket and get with the program. Right now, it's Wilco's world. We're all just living in it. [NME]
