Remember a few years back when the music world was all agog at Nick Drake's "Pink Moon" showing up in a commercial for the Volkswagen Cabrio? Turns out that whoever does VW's licensing has good taste - though this time they've opted for a decidedly less deceased musical act in Wilco. The band recently inked a deal that would allow VW to use six songs, five from Sky Blue Sky, in six different VW commercials; the songs are also streaming at vw.com. To preserve the cross-promotional spirit of the venture, the VW ad campaign began the same week that Sky Blue Sky came out.
