Remember that awesome video that surfaced earlier this month featuring Fleet Foxes and Wilco doing a cover of the Band’s “I Shall Be Released?” Well, it seems that more than a video was recorded, as Wilco are using the lure of a free MP3 of the song to get people to register to vote.

That’s right, you can get the song for free just by going to Headcount.org, a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to voter registration, putting your name and e-mail into the form, and promising to vote.
