Fest mania: wickety-wickety-Wicker Park Fest

It would be cool if there was a Wicker Man Fest. It could be set up like a battle of the bands: a bunch of groups play, and the one that gets the lowest rating from the audience goes into the wicker man. Then up go the flames and we've got one less shitty band taking up space on this planet.
But enough with my sadistic fantasies. This post is about the Wicker Park Fest, a music soiree going down in the public place of that very name in Chicago July 28 and 29. Slated to play the get-together are Man Man, Prefuse 73, the Thermals, Catfish Haven, Centro-Matic, Pit er Pat, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, JJ Grey and Mofro, Something for Rockets, Elliot Lipp and Don Caballero. You can head to the fest's MySpace for ticket details; and head on after the jump to find out the rest of the bands playing the fest...
Maritime, Skybox, Fancy Trash, High on Fire, Russian Circles, Sybris, the Race, Mannequin Men, Benevento/Russo Duo, New Mastersounds, Future Rock, the Frequency, Dubconscious, the Hedrons, Oh My God, American Babies, Dearborn, Sabretooth Organ Quartet, Juice and the Machine

FYI. There is no such thing as tickets for street festivals in Chicago. In fact, it is illegal to charge admission to any event on a public street in Chicago and you do not have to pay to get into this event if you do not want to. Street festivals in Chicago can only ask for a "suggested donation" which sadly has increasingly turned into gatekeepers blocking signs and more or less forcing people to pay to enter events on their own streets. So, do what you feel is right, but you DO NOT have to pay to go to this street festival or any other street festival in Chicago.
