Why We'll Never Know Ice Cube's Actual "Good Day"

One of the funnier stories of the year came when some bloggers got their investigative journalist-on and tried to figure out the exact day Ice Cube was rapping about on "It Was A Good Day." One dude argued that it was in 1988 while another lobbied for a day in 1992. Ice Cube himself then came forward to make the sly statement of "Nice try" without saying which day it actually was. Until today. It turns out that there's no good day at all. In a chat with MovieFone, Cube broke all our hip-hop nerd hearts by simply saying, "It was a fictional song." Damn it. [TDS]
