White Williams plans '08 headlining tour
Quirky bedroom pop-rock act White Williams, led by one Joe Williams, has certainly helped its profile this year by serving as an opener for some other cool musical acts including Girl Talk, Dan Deacon, and Battles. Come January of next year, it will be White Williams' turn at center stage, as the band will venture out on its first headlining tour in support of its debut album Smoke, which was released earlier this year. As for opening duties on this tour, that role will be filled on most stops by either Baltimore-based instrumental duo Ecstatic Sunshine or L.A. noise-punk band HEALTH.
