The White Stripes might have called it quits back in February of last year, but that doesn't mean they can't keep releasing new (read: previously unreleased) music. Last summer, Jack White dug into his former band's vaults and shared a pair of cover tracks. And later this month, the now-defunct duo will drop a new double-single.
Outtakes features previously unheard versions of two White Stripes classics, "Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground," and "Let's Build A Home." The former is now simply titled "Dead Leaves" while the latter is an early recording of the track that ended up on De Stijl. Jack White's Third Man Records will release Outtakes as part of its latest vault package. [NME]
