Weird Al Joining Black Francis On Stage For Possible Pixies Polka

After listening to all those Breeders albums, a person might think that Black Francis is kind of a pretentious jerk. I, however, refuse to believe that after hearing he's going to take the stage this December with the one and only Weird Al Yankovic for charity. Though Francis probably sits in his basement most weeknights eating Doritos, playing Fester's Quest on 8-bit Nintendo, and jamming out to "Nature Trail to Hell," it's heartening that he'll out his secret passions for a good cause. The Yankovic performance is part of a two-night event in L.A. to benefit Winston's Village, a charity established to help the family of nine-month-old Winston Bertrand deal with his mounting medical expenses. In addition to Weird Al, Francis will welcome members of the Pixies, wife Violet Clark, Flea, Tim and Eric, Bob Odenkirk, and Brian Posehn over the course of the two-night event.
