Via: TMZ.com Having realized that maybe the whole "making music" thing isn't really in their best interest at this time, the members of Weezer have found a much more profitable venture to keep them busy during their hiatus--suing beer companies. Rivers and Co. filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court last Thursday against the Miller Brewing Company for using the band's name in several of their ads that ran in Rolling Stone Magazine throughout 2004 without their permission. What's more, the band claims that some of the other bands featured in the ads (Audioslave and Velvet Revolver among others) are groups that Weezer "do not wish to be associated with in any advertisement." Ouch! Apparently the affront of being associated with other bands who's members best creative years are well behind them is worth millions of dollars in damages. We'll keep you posted as to any further developments.
