Weezer Dates Canceled After Bus Accident
Rivers Cuomo can’t catch a break lately. The latest Weezer album, Raditude, has been widely derided, and now a set of dates on their current tour have been canceled after Cuomo was involved in a bus accident on Sunday (Dec. 6). A vehicle carrying the singer and his wife and daughter hit a patch of ice in upstate New York and Cuomo was taken to hospital.
The rest of Weezer’s December tour dates have been canceled, although they are expected to get back on the road for the shows scheduled to begin in San Francisco on Jan. 9. A long, rambling, and extremely comprehensive statement about the bus crash has been posted by Weezer webmaster Karl Koch.
“We are sorry to say that the rest of the December Raditude Tour has been canceled - when we can reschedule the dates we will, of course," writes Koch. “I have no ticket or refund or whatever info at this time, but stay tuned to this site and the ticketing websites for more info. For now its a waiting game for all of us. Thanks for your kind thoughts and good wishes, we need them!”

Well, it's not a contest.
Seriously though, Dave Yow, who once could be considered a "peer," breaks his ribs mid-CONCERT regularly. I'm just hoping that Weezer fans a) get their money back b) reconsider their lives.
