How do you know when a novelty item has reached its plateau and is headed for an imminent downturn in popularity? When celebrities start falling over themselves to make their own version. It happened with the Starsky and Hutch brand Pet Rock and the Mr. T. Swatch*, and now its happening to the Snuggie, aka the blanket you can wear. Weezer have announced plans to release their own line of Snuggies, called the Wuggie, sometime later this year. The Wuggie will be created by the people at Snuggie, and is essentially a Snuggie with the Weezer "w" on it. 

Okay Weezer, I get it. You want to appeal to the Internet culture. You make videos that become YouTube memes, and now you're on the Snuggie bandwagon. Remember when you used to be nerds singing about being tired of sex (circa Pinkerton)? Yeah, you're probably making more money now. [RS]
