Here's your "Can you believe the commercialization of punk rock? It's gotten out of control, I say!" news story of the week/month: Band-Tees, a music T-shirt company, is selling a "TV Eye" Stooges T-Shirt for toddlers. This is totally not punk rock. See them here and gasp.
But real talk, for a moment: I get that it's annoying that parents buy their kids Ramones T-Shirts, and yeah, it really is just the parent showing off. But at the same time, I understand the compulsion: I mean, if I have to clean shit* off a baby shirt, I'd prefer it was a shirt that filled me with memories of when I had a life and I liked rocking out to Fun House instead of a Hannah Montana shirt. *And I mean literal shit.
