We Can Work It Out: Homeless man finds Paul McCartney's wax head

On Tuesday we reported that a waxwork of Paul McCartney’s head had gone missing. Joby Carter, who owned the sculpture and had allowed it to be displayed in Madame Tussauds museum, left the head on a train on October 16. McCartney’s head was expected to earn Carter big bucks at an auction, causing him to offer a sizable cash reward for its return.

Proving that every cloud has a silver lining (perhaps fashioned by Maxwell’s Silver Hammer?), the errant head has been found by a homeless man named Anthony Silva. Silva is set to receive the £2,000 reward after discovering McCartney’s wax facsimile in the trash at a railway station in Reading.

"It's just what I need and I hope my luck has changed for the better,” said Silva. The publicity generated by the hapless head-loss may prove lucrative for Carter, who now expects to make a small fortune at the auction. "With the interest we've had I'm confident it may go for more than £10,000,” he said. [NME]
