Weed smokers just can't catch a break. First it was Wiz Kahlifa. And now Wavves' Nathan Williams is getting arrested because of his love for the green stuff.
On tour in Germany, Wavves main man was arrested and spent a few hours in jail when police found a bag of marijuana in his car. In a statement to Pitchfork, Williams explained:
We got stopped at a roadside check and I had six bags in the car and they only found one-- the fucking dogs never work. I bet it's high from all the fumes. Anyways, they put me in a cell which was a little nerve-wracking. More so because I was an American in a German jail and not because I have long gay hair. I did wrestle for four years in high school, so I could have fucked somebody up. So yeah, then I gave em €200 and walked out... not a terrible deal. And now I'm getting high again.
Like any teenager who's a little too eager to share the tale of his encounter with the cops, Williams also tweeted "Arrested in Germany by a guy w/ a Metallica patch on his Polizei jacket. Out on bail fresh out of jail Munich dreamin' #ridethelightning" and a picture of the documentation proving he was "provisionally arrested."
If you, too, want to smoke weed like your favorite musicians, Wavves brand weed grinders are perfect for the holidays.
Wavves are on tour now and will join Best Coast later in the winter. Full dates here.
Do not take this the wrong way. It makes me cringe when I see spelling errors in any text whether it be email or text message or websites. That happens from time to time here at Prefix but whatever, it does not really matter. But the singer from Wavves name is not Nathan James, it is Nathan Williams. Can I have a job writing for Prefix? I am a journalism student and I like reading this site. I will edit my posts before they go up I PWOMISSSSE!!!!!!

thanks for the comment. if you're serious about working with the Prefix email us. Thanks.
If this'd happened in 1972 we'd be hearing about it on the nightly news for hours. Now it's like a tweet and a half. Guess that's progress.
