TLC was one of the few musical acts that were able to cross over into multi-dimensional groups able to blend hip hop, rnb, and soul all together. And in 1997, VH1's show "Behind the Music" was able to capture all of the grueling drama that happened behind the scenes. In fact, they had actually done two "Behind the Music" episodes on the group. And now VH1 has returned with a "historical re-enactment" titled CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story.
Starring Lil Mama as Left Eye, Drew Sidora as T-Boz, and Keke Palmer as Chilli, the characters portrayed all of the trauma that occurred during the trios peak into stardom, financial crash, and even Left Eye's death in the Honduras car crash. Director Charles Stone III took the help and was able to translate the era into a believable remake.
With T-Boz and Chilli as executive producers, the take on their historical re-enactment is an interesting take on their past.
