Watch: Tupac Outburst From Upcoming 'Yo! MTV Raps' Documentary

Among other things, Tupac Shakur was a straight-talker. He spoke his mind even if it meant there'd be a backlash. This is evidenced by his July 1993 appearance on Yo! MTV Raps, when Pac got fired up after his role in Menace II Society was brought into the conversation. Tupac had a dispute with the film's directors, the Hughes Brothers, and said the following in his interview:

They fired me but did it in a round about punk snitch way. So I caught them on the streets and whipped their behinds. I was a menace to the Hughes Brothers and it ain't over.

Footage of the on-air outburst was subsequently used against the rapper in court regarding assault charges, and it landed Pac in jail for 15 days.

Yo: The Story of Yo! MTV Raps will premiere on VH1 on June 7 at 10 PM. Along with Tupac's '93 appearance on the show, the documentary will feature interviews with hosts Fab 5 Freddy, Ed Lover and Doctor Dre. The Roots' Questlove, Big Boi and Rakim will also appear.
