Watch: Trail Of Dead Get Political In "Catatonic" Video

Austin punk stalwarts ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead haven't necessarily shown their political stripes in their nearly two decades of existence. But the band gets its message across on Lost Songs, its eighth studio album, which is due out Oct. 23 via Richter Scale/Superball Music.

According to frontman Conrad Keely, many of the songs are about current events like the Syrian Civil War and Pussy Riot's incarceration. Now comes the video for "Catatonic" which shows the rise and fall of a suspiciously Rick Perry-like politician named Rich Dobney. As Trail of Dead make a rattle, Dobney wanders around Austin with cigars, an American flag, cocaine, and briefcases full of cash before crashing and burning. Watch it below.
