On September 11, the British group The xx will release their sophomore album Coexist via Young Turks. They've already unveiled a number of tracks from the record, showing they're still capable of the kind of brooding pop that so many fell in love with on their self-titled debut.
But a few weeks ago the band debuted a new side to their sound with the song "Swept Away." The xx performed it at L.A.'s Henry Fonda Theater, and now video has surfaced. It finds the band heading in a much more club-friendly direction with the beat more upfront than the vocals, perhaps reflecting the fact that producer Jamie xx has a bigger role now.
