Watch The Killers' Werner Herzog-Directed Mini-Documentary

Las Vegas alt-rockers The Killers are making all kinds of bizarre friends these days. First Mitt Romney started touting The Killers as one of his favorite bands, and now German auteur Werner Herzog has joined forces with the boys.

In a new mini-documentary for American Express, the famously abstract and eccentric director follows Brandon Flowers and friends around their hometown. Werner doesn’t quite go full-Herzog, but there is something vaguely unsettling about the whole thing. Plus, it’s all worth it to hear Herzog say the phrase “wild donkeys.”

The whole thing is in promotion for a Herzog-shot Killers concert streaming tonight, September 18, at 7pm EST. Watch the whole thing below and pick up the Killers’ latest, Battle Born, on Island/Vertigo. [RS]
