While indie artists having their music used in commercials is obviously nothing new, this new Nike spot featuring The Cool Kids might be a sign that their long-awaited proper debut could actually be dropping soon. I mean, this is a pretty clever way to get their name and music out there to the masses. Also, you have to love the animation by Grotesk, who did the cover art for the Cool Kids' The Bake Sale EP. And it doesn't hurt that the track they made specifically for the commercial is pretty damn catchy. To be fair, though, almost any one of their fashion-centric jams could have been tailored for this ad. Either way, it's a great look for The Cool Kids and, perhaps, proof that When Fish Ride Bicycles will be released some day in the near future.
