Watch: Teen Daze Goes Acoustic With New Song 'Divided Loyalties'

You might not expect Teen Daze to show up for a record store session with just an acoustic guitar slung over his shoulder. As one of the most synth-saturated projects around, Teen Daze is difficult to imagine without layers upon layers of soft electronic gauze. But the Canadian producer embraced the challenge of stripping his newest song (whose album cut we posted earlier) down to its bare bones, playing Vancouver's Red Cat Records completely unplugged. Turns out "Divided Loyalties" sounds just as lovely performed with sparse, fingerpicked chords as it does fully dressed in beats and pads.

Teen Daze's upcoming album The Inner Mansions will be released Nov. 6 on Lefse Records. Watch his acoustic Scion Session take of "Divided Loyalties" below.
