Watch Sigur Rós In ‘Game Of Thrones’ (Video)

    The fourth season of Game of Thrones is finally underway. In addition to a lot of the hard push in the marketing department, a lot of songs by today’s hippest artists have been written for the show and or used to promote it such as the hip hop-driven HBO Mixtape Catch The Throne. But even better, the magical Icelandic group Sigur Ros has recorded a cover of The National’s “The Rains of Castamere” for the show. Their elven sounds blend in so well with the show’s mythological and fantasy settings.

    In addition to recording the song for the show, the group also made an appearance as a live band during the second episode of the fourth season.
