As you know, this past Friday (Feb. 10) was the sixth anniversary of J Dilla's passing, and to throw some honor, The Motor City put together a Dilla Day concert that brought together hometown regulars and some of Jay Dee's usual collaborators for a night that, honestly, both you and I are really pissed we missed out on.
From what I'm understanding, headliners Jay Electronica and Busta Rhymes were no-shows, which is surprising for Busta, but pretty routine for Jay. Busta looks to have been busy shooting videos throughout the weekend according to Twitter, so I guess that's his excuse, though it's hard to believe he'd pass the tribute up. Still things look solid from the footage below, so if you weren't able to attend, you can catch a decent recap courtesy of HoodHype. [2DBZ]
