As we previously reported, Peter Hook & The Light are currently out on the road performing his former band's albums in full. Yep, they're tackling the entirety of Joy Division's Closer and Unknown Pleasures in select cities across the country. And during the last few tracks of their performance last night in Chicago, they were joined onstage by Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. He provided vocals during "Transmission" and "Love Will Tear Us Apart," which the crowd appears to have enjoyed quite a bit. I have to admit, it sounds pretty decent, even though the audio in the video clip gets a little muddy at times. You can still get the full gist of it, though, and I'm sure it made for one hell of a surprise if you were there.
You can watch the performance footage below.
