Actors and rock bands generally aren’t a good mix. Too many times, when thespians try to channel their inner rock star, it’s usually awful. Just ask Russell Crowe about his band The Ordinary Fear of God. However, when actors with bad bands collaborate with rockers, the results can be solid.
The Academy Award winner invited Patti Smith to join him on-stage at Cultural Night in Reykjavik, Iceland. Though she did the heavy lifting vocally, Crowe didn’t embarrass himself, which is pretty good, right?
