Disappointment bred excitement at yesterday’s Hot 97 Summer Jam. After Hot 97 DJ Peter Rosenberg dissed headliner Nicki Minaj (saying, “We’re all about that real hip-hop, not ‘Starships’ [Minaj’s latest single]), Young Money founder Lil Wayne pulled his signee from the event.
Instead, Queens rapper Nas, who Minaj had planned to bring out as a guest, took over her spot at the last minute. To make things even better, Nas was joined by none other than Ms. Lauryn Hill for “Ready Or Not,” “Lost Ones” and “If I Ruled The World.” Check out video of the incredible collaboration below.
