I think it's safe to say Lupe Fiasco wrapped up the late night push of his previous single, "The Show Goes On," after he performed on the Late Show With David Letterman two weeks ago. But now it looks like the Chicago rapper might be taking his new hit, the scathing "Words I Never Said," to the TV circuit. At least, that's what I'm gathering from his interview and performance on last night's The Colbert Report. Fiasco discussed his political beliefs, which included a great jab at Wesley Snipes, with Colbert before touching on how Atlantic sat on Lasers for far too long. The rapper then took the stage with a live band and Skylar Grey to tackle "Words I Never Said," which sounded pretty good, albeit a bit exaggerated. It will prove interesting to see if the track catches on like "The Show Goes On."
Lasers is out now.
