Watch: Lana Del Rey Covers Kasabian

Lana Del Rey certainly did her best to win over the Brits when she traveled to the U.K. earlier this year. She even did a version of Kasabian’s “Goodbye Kiss” for Fearne Cotton’s show on BBC Radio 1, turning the song away from its upbeat, Britpop-lite roots, and repositioning it as one of her trademark pieces of haunting balladry. Del Rey looks a little awkward introducing the track, but fortunately this was a suitably low-key performance and shouldn’t send everyone scurrying to write thinkpieces about how she’s Just Not Cut Out For This Fame Thing. There was a full session and interview recorded at the same time as this clip—head over here to check those out. [via Disco Naivete]
