Over the weekend, Randy Blythe returned to lead his band Lamb of God at Slipknot's Knotfest in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Somerset, Wisconsin. It was the singer's first public appearance since being freed from a Prague prison where he was jailed for manslaughter charges.
"I'm so glad to be here," Blythe told the Iowa crowd. "I have never, ever, ever in my life been more excited about being in the middle of a cornfield in Iowa. I've been away for a little bit, but I'm back now." Elsewhere, Blythe addressed the incident when he joined legendary metal act Prong at the Wisconsin show for a rendition of the Misfits' "London Dungeon." "This song is about going to prison in a foreign country," Blythe exclaimed.
Lamb of God cancelled their tour as a result of Blythe's incarceration, but when Slipknot asked if they could still play their festival, Blythe jumped at the chance: "I said 'Fuck yeah.' You think Britney Spears or Ke$ha or whoever's fans would be out here in this? No, they'd be sitting on their fat asses at home."
Blythe is working to clear his name, but in the meantime, you can witness his celebratory return in two fan-made videos below. [Spin]
