While Kurt Cobain might not be among the living anymore, his spirit and voice have lived on in quite a surprising way. Video has surfaced of Russian subway busker Nikolay Petrovsky performing eerily accurate renditions of a couple of Nirvana’s greatest hits.
The clips find the Novosibirk, Siberia resident playing “Pennyroyal Tea” and “About a Girl” in a voice that sounds almost identical to Cobain’s. Petrovsky, who doesn’t speak English, is reportedly a self-taught musician and a trained sailor. Watch the footage below. [Spin]
