Promotion can be a little overzealous in music these days, but if there's one record that deserves all the marketing attention, it's Kendrick Lamar's upcoming debut, good kid, m.A.A.d city. Released today, the album's official commercial cleverly chronicles the past findings of hip-hop's finest king maker Dr. Dre, including Eminem, 50 Cent and Game, and leads into 2012 to crown his current understudy, Kendrick, as the genre's next royal. Yes, it's a ton of pressure, but we trust this kid can live up to the hype. good kid, m.A.A.d city is due out Oct. 22 and can be pre-ordered now on iTunes.
