We have seen President Barack Obama belt out his favorite tune, Al Green's "Let's Stay Together," but during his "30 Days To Victory," fundraiser yesterday (October 7), he elected Katy Perry to do the singing. The young singer channeled her inner diva and delivered a straight forward cover of the 1972 classic. It was weird not to see her dressed in sparkled tutus with cotton candy pink hair, but soothing to watch her perform in an elegant, green evening gown with her natural hair falling in beautiful curls.
The starlet headlined the Los Angeles concert, accompanied by Jennifer Hudson and Stevie Wonder. The event raised $5.25 million for the Obama campaign and included a $25,000/plate dinner with Mr. Obama himself.
