Watch: J. Cole Pays Tribute To Biggie And Tupac At Bonnaroo

Before performing tributes to Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. at Bonnaroo last night, J. Cole makes note of the fact that many of the bands at the festival play covers to honor their biggest influences and favorite acts. He then asks, "Why the fuck can't we do that?" and launches into a spot-on cover of Pac's "I Ain't Mad At Cha" with his live band. Dude obviously listened to the track a shitload growing up as he even knows the intro line for line. It's not too surprising, though, as he has cited Pac as an influence for years. J. Cole then also paid tribute to Biggie by performing "Higher," off last year's Friday Night Lights, over the Isley Brothers sample used on "Big Poppa."
