Sam Beam, aka Iron & Wine, is back with another push behind this year's fantastic Kiss Each Other Clean. He recently took a trip overseas to the U.K. to stop by the 4AD studios for a brief, albeit great, acoustic session that brings a stripped-down approach to the fleshed-out tunes from his latest album. In a way, this allows fans of his older material to hear how tracks like "Tree By the River" would have sounded on, say, his full-length debut, The Creek Drank the Cradle. And Beam actually returns to that record here for a performance of "Upward Over the Mountain." He also plays "Biting Your Tail," which is a B-side from the "Walking Far from Home" single.
You can watch the session below.
