The Duke Spirit return with new video “Glorious”, a track taken from their well received 2011 album Brusier. The British band exhibit much of the corrugated iron gilded blues pop that has become their hallmark since they burst onto the scene over half a decade ago. Like an over adrenalized Nico, lead singer Liela Moss robustly belts out the song, backed up charging guitar lines and pounding percussion. The video itself sees the group collaborating with artist and friend Kid Acne to create a sparse black and white aesthetic, resembling an Ingmar Bergman movie, only interesting. Moss herself described the video in an interview with Rolling Stone as “lady warriors cross-country, wearing scant more than uniform white vests with stick on dot nipple stickers”. Tempted? Check it out for yourself below.
