Watch: Flaming Lips Perform, Chat With Colbert In A Space Capsule

This week, indie fans have had their eyes and ears glued to Comedy Central due to the multimedia takeover that is StePhest Colbchella '012: RocktAugustFest. Santigold and Grizzly Bear have both delighted, and last night we were treated to a blitz from the Flaming Lips.

The group performed the Bon Iver collab (sans Bon Iver) "Ashes In The Air" on the broadcast, then took to the web for "Do You Realize??" and "Drug Chart." Frontman Wayne Coyne also sat down (actually, "laid down") with Colbert in a space capsule to talk space and drugs (what else?). Then the two closed out the show by jumping into separate crowdsurfing space bubbles as the Lips played them out with the Colbert Report theme. Watch the madness below.
