Elijah Wood, like many actors today, began working as a child, getting his first break in 1988 with a minor role in a Paula Abdul music video directed by David Fincher (Fight Club, Se7en, The Social Network). His debut film role was as "Video-Game Boy #2" in 1989's Back To The Future Part II.
Wood has moved up in his career since then, taking on several roles including a hobbit and a mute, cannabalistic serial killer, the latter of which could have possibly prepared him for his new role in Franck Khalfoun's horror remake of 1980's Maniac.
Wood plays a murderous introvert who lives in a mannequin factory and judging by the new international red band trailer below, you can see that Maniac is sure to be disturbing, violent and all kinds of bloody.
It will also more than likely make you realize that you may take your scalp for granted.
