One of Britt Daniels' reasons for starting a new band was because he "wanted to try some new things and go some places I hadn't gone before," and so far, Divine Fits has been just the outlet for Spoon's sterling frontman.
With the band, he has not only covered songs ranging from The Boys Next Door's "Shivers," to Frank Ocean's "Lost," but he's also been able to play smaller clubs that his other act has long since outgrown. Today, Bowery Presents may have footage of the smallest club the band has ever played--a room at New York's Ace Hotel.
Though they did not play for an audience, Divine Fits performed a stripped down version of "Civilian Stripes," the acoustic ballad off the band's recently released debut album, A Thing Called Divine Fits.
